About Boarding Schools

TABS Insurance, Inc., is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS), a 501(c)(3) volunteer association of 265 college/university preparatory independent not-for-profit schools in the U.S., Canada and abroad.

The majority of these schools are for high school-aged students, although some offer “junior boarding” grades as well (those below grade 9). Boarding schools vary by student body population, campus size, program focus, location, dress code, and more. There are boarding schools in rural, suburban, and urban settings.

All of these schools offer a residential component to the program, meaning that students live on campus 5-7 days a week during the school year — offering an immersive, supportive, safe learning environment that goes beyond the four walls of a classroom.
